Representatives from United Midcoast Charities will be holding open information sessions for nonprofits that serve residents of Knox and Waldo counties in the areas of food, housing, health and safety, and economic security. The purpose of the sessions is to share updates about the 2018 grant process and application.

United Midcoast Charities recently adopted an updated, more focused direction based on a two-year collaborative strategic planning process and the sessions offer a chance for nonprofits in the area to find out more about UMC’s new focus areas.

Sessions will be held: Thursday, Jan. 11, 10 a.m. at the Waldo County YMCA; Tuesday, Jan. 16, 3 p.m. at 87 Elm St. Camden, conference room 208; Thursday, Jan. 18, 10 a.m. at Rockland Public Library’s Community Room, 80 Union St.

The UMC info sessions are free and do not require registration. In case of potential weather cancellations or rescheduling, check the United Midcoast Charities facebook page or
