Walter Guinon will present a free program on how he built his own electric car on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Lincolnville Community Library.

Guinon designed and constructed the car, which resembles a large yellow tricycle, at his home in Lincolnville. He will describe his process and also discuss the general market for electric cars, which is growing in the United States and around the world.

Guinon spent much of his professional career working as an electrical engineer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his formal education at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, the University of Connecticut and MIT.

The library is located at 208 Main St. in Lincolnville Center. For more information, call 763-4343 or email questions@lincolnvillelibrary.org.
