Brooksville artist Robert Shetterly will discuss the role of the individual in democracy, and his ongoing "Americans Who Tell the Truth" portrait project, Saturday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at United Farmers Market of Maine, 18 Spring St.

Shetterly’s series highlights individuals, both current and historical figures, whose lives have been courageous in search of truth, despite obstacles. Shetterly has given workshops for students of all ages, as well as adults, during the past decade, promoting the mission of AWTT.

This event is open to all ages. A selection of Shetterly's paintings are on display in the gallery area of the market. The talk is free, but to help in planning, RSVP is requested at or 218-7005.
