Maine Troop Greeters invite all area scout troops to the first Scout Day at the museum, located on the second level of Bangor International Airport, on Saturday, Feb. 17, from noon to 3 p.m.

The day will include a guided tour of the new Troop Greeter Museum, an American flag folding demonstration, the history of the Challenge Coin, interaction with Troop Greeter canines, and work on a new badge or patch. To RSVP, contact Andrea Cross at andrea.cross@live.com.

Maine Veteran’s Home Bangor fundraiser

The activities cepartment at the Bangor Veterans Home will be hosting a Chili & Chowder Cook-off on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge, 294 Union St., Bangor. A $5 entry fee gets you a chance to try all the chili and chowders as well as the chance to vote. Trophies will be awarded for the best chili and chowder. Third annual Calumet Talent Show for Honor Flight Maine

Join us Saturday, Feb. 3, at Le Club Calumet in Augusta, at 334 West River Road, for a wonderful evening of music and dance as some of Maine’s most talented performers take to the stage once again, providing music from all eras! It will be a fun night as entertainers and friends of Honor Flight Maine entertain you with their amazing variety of talents.

Bowl for Betsy Ann Ross House of Hope

Bowl in a fundraiser to support the only transitional home for Maine women veterans and their children. This event will be held at Sparetime Recreation, 215 Whitten Road, Hallowell, on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Businesses can register four employees for $250, individuals $20, and kids are free.
