Belfast Free Library, 106 High St., calls all sleuths and detectives for help in solving the murder of poet Charity Holmes Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 5:30 p.m. in the Abbott Room. The suspects, played by members of the Belfast Maskers, will read poems that contain clues to the mystery, “Love Writes a Deadly Verse.”

Acclaimed poet Charity Homes (librarian and Masker Erica Rubin Irish) was murdered at the Poets Turntable Valentine’s Day reading in the Abbott Room. The suspects, all members of the Poets Turntable, each had a motive and the opportunity — but who did it? A prize will be awarded to first detective who identifies the suspect.

Individuals or teams of detectives are encouraged to sign up in advance to have the chance to interview the suspects over the course of the evening and help solve the crime. To keep up sleuthing stamina for the evening, refreshments will be served.

To sign up, stop by the main circulation desk or call 338-3884, ext. 10. In the event of bad weather, the crime will be solved the following Wednesday, Feb. 21.
