The high schools of Waldo County will once again take their one-act play entries for the upcoming Maine Drama Festival competition on tour to each of the schools, to give the troupes a chance to hone their plays and get ready to travel, assemble and disassemble their sets.

The plays selected by the schools this year are: Belfast Area High School, “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” Don Zolidis; Searsport Area High School, “A Fish in Her Kettle” by David Pearson; and Mount View High School, “The Con and Other Urban Legends” by Bryan Starchman. Each play is limited by contest rules to 40 minutes or less.

All shows on the tour start at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door at Searsport and Mount View; $6, with $1 going to the school food pantry, or $5 plus one nonperishable food donation at BAHS. The schedule, subject to change, is as follows: Thursday, March 1, BAHS; Friday, March 2, SDHS; and Saturday, March 3, MVHS.
