Three Mariners, two Mustangs, Lion KVAC Class B hoop honorees

Three Oceanside Mariners, two Mount View Mustangs and a Belfast Lion have been deemed among the best of the best on the court in their conference and class.

The Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference unveiled its Class B all-conference selections and six Midcoast student-athletes from Oceanside of Rockland/Thomaston, Belfast and Mount View of Thorndike are among those honored.

The all-conference selections for Midcoast players (all information comes from the league) include:

Boys basketball

Class B first team — Oceanside’s Michael Norton Jr. and Cooper Wirkala; and Belfast’s Stanley Sturgis

Girls basketball

Class B first team — Mount View’s Andrea Crosby and Oceanside's Gabby Simmons

Class B second team — Mount View’s Shala Davis
