Early Bird deadline for filmmakers to submit their short of feature-length documentaries to the 14th annual Camden International Film Festival is Friday, March 9.

Camden International Film Festival, founded in 2005 and recognized as one of the top documentary film festivals in the world, highlights innovative work that shows a deep commitment to the craft of nonfiction storytelling. The 14th annual CIFF will run Sept. 13 through 16 in Camden, Rockport and Rockland.

CIFF is open to all documentary films of all styles, subjects and lengths. Submissions by filmmakers from diverse backgrounds and projects that push the boundaries of the documentary form are encouraged. The festival weekend will feature screenings of nearly 80 documentary films from both emerging and established filmmakers, most of whom attend the festival for post-screening discussions.

Early Bird submission offers a discount on entry fees. For more information, and submission links via Film Freeway or Withoutabox, visit pointsnorthinstitute.org/ciff. Any further questions can be directed to the programming team at submissions@camdenfilmfest.org.

CIFF is a program of the Points North Institute, established in 2016 as a launching pad for the next generation of nonfiction storytellers. Building on the success of the Camden International Film Festival, the Points North Institute’s mission is to bring together, on the Midcoast, an interdisciplinary community of filmmakers, artists, journalists, industry leaders and local audiences.
