Coastal Mountains Land Trust has announced the addition of three new members to its board of directors: Gianne P. Conard of Belfast, David Thanhauser of Swanville and Judy Wallingford of Harpswell.

A longtime supporter of the Land Trust, Conard has an extensive background in architecture. She was a partner with a Philadelphia firm and a professor of architecture at Drexel, Lehigh and Cornell universities. A fellow in the American Institute of Architects, she is also chairwoman of Waterfall Arts in Belfast.

Thanhauser is a declared "back to the lander." He practiced family medicine in Belfast before retiring in 2017. Thanhauser joined the board to assist with land conservation in the Midcoast area in general and the Hurds Pond watershed in particular.

Recently retired from Maine Water Co., Wallingford brings many years of executive leadership skills to the board. Born and raised in Maine, she has family ties dating back to the mid 1700s. Wallingford graduated from Bowdoin College with majors in geology and mathematics.
