Midcoast Music Academy and Dot's Market will present a showcase of student performances Saturday, March 31, from 3 to 5 p.m. The afternoon will feature some of MCMA's more advanced students as they delight the audience with songs ranging from jazz standards to pop to original tunes.

Coinciding with the showcase is a wine tasting of special selections for the day. The event is open to the public, who is invited to spend the afternoon — have a bite to eat, sip some wine and enjoy some great music at Dot's Market, 2457 Atlantic Highway/Route 1.

A $5 donation is suggested. A portion of the entire day's proceeds will benefit Midcoast Music Academy, which is located at 271 Main St. in Rockland. MCMA offers private and group instruction in addition to seminars, workshops, labs and music enrichment programs for local schools and businesses. MCMA instructors are committed to helping students of all ages and skill levels unlock their creative potential and express themselves through music.
