Ethelyn Roberts passed away peacefully Monday, March 12, 2018, at Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born in Waterville. She grew up in Thorndike and attended the grammar school years there. She attended her high school years at Morse Memorial in Brooks and graduated from there in 1951.

She was born Jan. 14, 1933, a twin daughter of Fred and Ruth Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold Benjamin of Belfast and an infant son Timothy.

She is survived by two sons: David Roberts and wife Michele of Lewiston and Jeff Roberts and wife Margaret of Connecticut. Also grandson Dylan and granddaughters Jenna and Chelsea; great-grandchildren Lydia, Tegan and Mason; twin sister Evelyn Wentworth of Knox; sister-in-law Mary Benjamin of Belfast; nephews Ronnie, Bruce and Joe Benjamin of Morrill; and nieces Carol Hamblett of Knox and Diane Wentworth of Georgia. Cousins Barbara Corbett and Bea Palmer of Brunswick also survive her. She was formerly married to Linwood Roberts, the father of her two sons.

Upon graduation she worked at the Statehouse in Augusta in the taxation department. She worked for Austin Associates in Auburn for over 30 years. She had many friends and loved them all. She did a lot of traveling and spent a few winters in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

A celebration of her life will be held  Saturday, April 28, at Fortin Funeral Home, 217 Turner St., Auburn. Services will be 1 to 3 p.m. Following the service, all will be invited to Marco's Restaurant at 12 Mollison Way, Lewiston, for refreshments and talk of memories with family and friends.
