The Rte 17 Ramblers, a traditional country/bluegrassy music group formed in the fall of 2015, will celebrate spring with a concert of country gospel music Sunday, April 15, at 4 p.m. at the United Christian Church, 18 Searsmont Road/Route 183 in Lincolnville Center.

The Ramblers comprise Anne Danforth of Chelsea, keyboard/vocals; Donna Ryder of West Gardiner, guitar/vocals; Lise Becu of Martinsville, fiddle/mandolin/vocals; Jimmy Ostergard of Appleton, stand-up bass; and Rosey Gerry of Lincolnville, guitar/vocals.

Their blended harmonious voices make for a good mix for all types of audiences, and their arrangements of traditional country with a little gospel have a touch of spoken French eased in.

The United Christian Church sponsors this concert and welcomes the public. The church was built in 1821 and still has its original boxed pews; upper pulpit and balcony; and wavy glass windows. Both the church and adjacent Community Building are handicapped accessible, and there is ample parking. There will be a free-will donation. For more information, call 785-3521.
