Friends of Belfast Library again will be hosting their popular card and games fundraising party at 1 p.m. Friday, April 27, at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church.

The community is invited to play some games, enjoy snacks, take chances on a raffle, and have a good time while supporting the work that Friends of the Library do to enrich Belfast Free Library.

All are welcome to the semi-annual event. Play bridge, canasta, gin rummy, mahjong, backgammon, chess — any game that can be played at a table and help the library buy books, equipment, programs, and computer programs for the children's department, and provide online magazine availability.

The $10 entrance fee will be continue this support.

Reservations are required; call Martha Beiser at 338-1347 or Mary Rackmales at 218-1448 to reserve a table, or to get more information. If you can only find a few people to join your table, Martha or Mary might help find some others to join your game.
