GAC Chemical Corp. announced April 2 that it has hired Craig Martin as vice president of sales and marketing.

Originally from Rumford, Martin is a 1989 graduate of the University of Maine with a BS degree in chemical engineering. He has more than 30 years of experience in the pulp and paper and specialty chemical industries. Most recently, he was the North America sales director for Trinseo, a global materials solutions provider and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders, and synthetic rubber with annual sales of more than $4 billion.

Martin and his wife Julie have two children and currently live in Poland, Maine.

GAC President David Colter said, “We are excited to have Craig join GAC Chemical. His sales management experience coupled with his knowledge and background in chemical sales and manufacturing make him a great addition to our growing team."

Colter also announced that John Wolanski will move to the position of senior vice president of business development. "John has been a tremendous asset to GAC since joining our company in 2011 and he will continue to pursue opportunities to further our growth strategy,” Colter said.
