Boy Scouts from Unity Troop 233 recently participated in the Klondike Derby, an annual event hosted by Maine Maritime Academy in Castine.

During the derby, scouts from troops all over the state compete in a scout-pulled bobsled race. The race is a timed race with stations along the way to test scout knowledge of such outdoor skills as knot tying, cooking, orienteering, fire building, plant identification, shelter building and first aid.

This year the troop didn't make the top three, but reportedly had a great time.
