The Belfast Free Library, 106 High St., will host a Cartooning Club for kids and teens (age 10 and up) every Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. starting April 27.

Participants will explore drawing techniques and exercises to develop the imagination with graphic artist James Quigley of Appleton. Projects may include comic strips, autobiographical illustration, transforming stories to sequential art and more. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged. Drawing materials will be provided.

Quigley is a graphic artist, illustrator and cartoonist whose work has appeared in the form of skateboard graphics, comic books and comic strips, animation, rock posters and shirt graphics.
