Evelyn Martha Hills, 99, went home to be with her Lord on April 15, 2018, at a Brewster, Mass., nursing home.
She was born April 20, 1918, to Herbert and Mildred Lamson Hills of Belfast. She was the fourth child of 10 children. She attended the Hayford School her first eight years of schooling and graduated from Crosby High School in 1937. She was a sweet, loving sister. After graduating from high school, she went to Massachusetts where a job was waiting for her. She had worked other places in the state, but mostly in Orleans, Mass., on Cape Cod, where she spent most of her remaining years among her many friends.
She was predeceased by her sisters Hellen H. Clements and Frances H. Rumney and by her brothers Raymond Hills and Richard Hills.
She is survived by brothers Glenn Hills, Basil Hills, and Carl and his wife Barbara Hills; and sisters, Marie H. Clark and Ann H. Bucklin. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her and visited her: Cathy Burcham, Becky, Carla, Lori Ann, Clyde, Hazel, Renee and Roger.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Belfast cemetery at the Hills plot.
