Have you ever wondered how to manage your woodland to enhance fish and wildlife habitat?

Join Maine Audubon Saturday, May 5, at Unity Community Center, 32 School St., for a free half-day workshop for landowners and woodland professionals. The session, which begins with registration and coffee at 8:30 a.m., will focus on forestry for Maine birds but also will include riparian habitat management for healthy fish and connected streams.

Attendees will spend time inside, then visit a wooded site to discuss habitat connectivity, forest habitat features, and management approaches that enhance these features. At 10:30 a.m., the group will carpool to Kanokulus Bog for the field portion of the workshop.

This event is free, but space is limited. Call 781-2330, ext. 219, to sign up, or email amcguirk@maineaudubon.org.
