Join Habitat for Humanity of Waldo County for a workshop on "Building Beautiful Homes on a Very Small Budget" Monday, May 14, 6 p.m., in the Abbott Room of Belfast Free Library, 106 High St.

Guest speaker is Randy Libby, formerly of Washington and now of Liberty, who has built over a dozen beautiful and affordable homes and homesteads over the years.

He will share his insights and experiences, with pictures and examples of post and beam (from his own land) and conventional framing, treasures he has found in Habitat ReStores around the state, examples of lovely details that cost little or nothing to add, and ideas for making your home energy efficient and highly functional.

The workshop is part of the Tools for Home series of Habitat for Humanity of Waldo County, made possible by the Maine Community Foundation.
