River Arts on Route 1 invites everyone to enjoy “Spring Greens,” a juried exhibition that opens with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception Friday, May 4, and continues through June 1.

Artists from all over Maine submitted artwork for this exhibition, which offers a delightful preview of the coming spring foliage. The show includes 90 pieces of sculpture, photography, collage, painting, ceramics, fiber and fine craft, representational and abstract.

Juror for the show is Marlene Loznicka. Midcoast artists whose work was selected include Lisa Mossel Vietze, Appleton; Catherine Neuhardt-Minor, Camden; Liz Donald, Camden; Petrea Noyes, Lincolnville; Leslie Woods, Montville; Paul Karlsson, St. George; Jean Kigel and Valerie Greene, Waldoboro; and Paula Horton and Marianna Filippi, Warren.

Also opening a show with the same reception is Sandy Cirillo of Searsport, who has a solo show in the West Gallery.

River Arts, 241 U.S. Route 1, is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, contact the gallery at 563-2507 or info@riverartsme.org.
