Whether in convincing fashion or by the skin of their teeth, it was a day of celebration for the Belfast tennis teams on Monday, May 7 as the Lions swung to a pair of victories over Morse of Bath.
The Lions boys defended their home court with a 5-0 win over the Shipbuilders, while the Lion girls edged the Shipbuilders 3-2 in Bath.

Boys tennis
Belfast 5, Morse 0
At Belfast May 7, the Lions prowled past the Shipbuilders.
The individual results, with Belfast players listed first, were: In singles, Eli Jolliffe beat Christian Keenan 8-0, Rudi Schnetzer beat Corey Klein 8-1 and Max Lewis beat Ryan Reed 8-3.
In doubles, Josh Chun and Dyllan Clark beat Ivan Wolff and Caleb Avery 8-0 and Thuan Phan and Kyle Agbuya beat Dillon Reese and Avery Smith 8-6.
Girls tennis
Belfast 3, Morse 2
At Bath May 7, the Lions defeated the host Shipbuilders.
The individual results, with Belfast players listed first, were: In singles, Julia Cerone beat Aria French, 6-1, 7-5; Alexia Sweet beat Penelope Shields, 6-1, 6-1; and Starr Warner beat Else Bertlesman, 6-4, 6-2.
In doubles, Kristina Walker and Olivia LaRouche lost to Madeline Skroski and Halley Gellatly, 4-6, 4-6; and Clarissa Stradtman and Annica Kelley lost to Katy Tucker and Helena Schultz, 5-7, 1-6.
