The Center for Maine Contemporary Art has announced the 43 artists and groups whose work will be included in the CMCA 2018 Biennial Exhibition, which will be mounted in November. CMCA will dedicate all 5,500 square feet of its 21 Winter St. display space to the exhibition.

The 43 artists and groups were selected from a pool of 569 submissions by jurors Kate Green, guest director of Marfa Contemporary, Marfa, Texas; and Robin K. Williams, Ford Curatorial Fellow at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Detroit, Mich.

Midcoast artists whose work was selected are Freedom Baird, Tenants Harbor and Cambridge, Mass.; Tad Beck, Vinalhaven; Mattina Blue, Belfast; Alan Fishman, Belfast; K. Min, Friendship; Elaine K. Ng, Rockland; Alison Rector, Monroe; Anneli Skaar and Sal Taylor Kydd, Camden and Rockport; and Kathy Weinberg, Morrill.

Others selected are Amy Stacey Curtis, Alicia Eggert, Adam Ekberg, Donna Festa, Tom Flanagan, Carolina Gonzalez, Julie K. Gray, Sarah Haskell, Wiloughby Lucas Hastings, Dylan Hausthor, Ethan Hayes-Chute, Anna Hepler, Hilary Irons, Samantha Jones, Eleanor Kipping, Seth Koen, Baxter Koziol, Siglinde Langholz, Alex Lukas, LumenARRT!, Shanna Merola, Ashley Normal, Isabelle O’Donnell, Julie Poitras Santos, Jesse Potts, Becky Jane Rosen, Rachel Sieben, Gina Siepel, Suzy Spence, Tectonic Industries, Joel Tsui, TUG Collective, Michael Winkler and Erin Woodbrey.
