Linda A. (Pester) Pyle, 69, of Searsport passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on May 18, 2018, at her home. She was born Feb. 18, 1949, in Philadelphia, the daughter of Charles B. and Anna Pester. The most important role and what made Linda most proud was being a loving and devoted wife to her husband whom she married Nov. 20, 1970, Cyril B. Pyle and being a mother to her seven sons and eight daughters; grandmother to her 43 grandchildren and great-grandmother to her nine great-grandchildren.

Linda had a real passion for Native American dolls and spent time collecting them. She also had a love for antiques and anything with history. One of her favorite sayings when things were a little rough was, “And this too shall pass.”

Linda is survived by her husband of 48 years Cyril B. Pyle; mother Anna Pester; brothers Chase Pester and wife Lisa, Gary Pester and wife Wendy, Michael Pester and wife Shelly; sons Cyril Pyle Jr. and wife Marie, Charles Pyle, Timothy Pyle and wife Angie, Shawn Pyle, Michael Pyle, Paul Pyle and wife Kimber, Brian Pyle and wife Kayla; daughters Kelly Pyle, Michelle Pyle, Elizabeth Kendall and husband Ben, Estella Evans and husband Paul, Marianne Whittaker and husband Mark, Courtney Kinney and husband Joshua, Jessica Kyser and husband Phillip and Kendall Pyle; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26, at 10 a.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at ripostafh.com.
