Midcoast Actors' Studio is offering two Youth Musical Theater Camps this summer. MAS Founding Artistic Director and Troy Howard Middle School Theater Arts Teacher Jason Bannister will direct both the Monday through Friday camps.

Junior camp is for ages 7 through 13 and will run one week, June 25 through 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekday. Junior camp will rehearse and perform “Seussical KIDS,” a 30-minute version of the family-friendly Dr. Seuss musical. The final performance will be Friday, June 29, at 6:00 p.m. at Troy Howard Middle School.

Senior camp is designed for ages 13 through 17 and will run two weeks, July 2 through 14, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekday. Senior camp will rehearse and perform “Sweeney Todd: SCHOOL EDITION,” a high school version of the Broadway classic. There will be three performances for the public: Friday, July 13, at 7 p.m.; and Saturday, July 14, at 2 and 7 p.m., at THMS.

Joining Bannister as music directors are Sojourner Hodges (junior camp) and Nathan Roach (senior camp). Both recently performed with Bannister in the nonprofit MAS's successful production of “Peter and the Starcatcher.”

The cost is $125 for junior camp and $250 for senior camp. For more information, email midcoastactors@gmail.com or visit midcoastactors.org or on Facebook. Registrations are due the beginning of June.
