It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Philip Stevens Sr. of North Searsport. He died at Eastern Maine Medical Center in the early hours of Friday, June 1, 2018.

He was born to Edith Mae Lewis and Francis Henry Stevens on Jan. 25, 1937, in Belfast.

He was proud to be a veteran having served his country in the Army and also a proud Mason having received the rights and privileges of the 33rd degree in his home lodge in Searsmont.

He worked as a park ranger in Camden Hills State Park when he first met Myra, his beloved wife.

He then worked at Penobscot Poultry and Penobscot Frozen Foods for many years.

He enjoyed his life, and loved to hunt, especially during rabbit and deer seasons. He and Myra enjoyed time at camp on Swan Lake and at Greenland Cove. He loved to fish and take trips with Myra on the four-wheeler, enjoyed the outdoors.

Jerry loved his family very much. He enjoyed visits with them at holiday celebrations. He was always excited to attend functions that his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were participating in.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Myra, brother Donnie and grandson Adam.

Jerry is survived by his brother Richard and his children Jerry Jr., Dianne, Joe and Susie, and their families.

At his request, there will be no funeral, his remains will be cremated by Downeast Direct Cremation LLC, and laid to rest with Myra at the family plot in Brooks in the weeks to come.

The family wishes to thank all who have been a part of his wonderful life.
