River Arts on Route 1 invites the public to the opening reception for its annual Member Show Friday, June 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. Also opening will be “Convergence,” a two-person show of work by Jessica Sirois and Stephanie Wright, in the West Gallery.

This year’s annual member celebration also includes an art rummage sale fundraiser — a great way to pick up frames or other supplies inexpensively.

The artworks by 85 member artists on exhibit are strong, diverse and inspiring, representing a wide variety of media and styles. The exhibition will run through July 5. Midcoast artists with work in the Member Show include Jean Byrd, Liz Donald and Catherine Neuhardt-Minor of Camden; Caitlyn Mello of Jackson; Petrea Noyes of Lincolnville; Leslie Woods of Montville; Kathi Peters of Morrill; Jeanette Phillipps of Rockland; Sandi Cirillo of Searsport; Gail Karlsson and Paul Karlsson of St. George; Dianne Horton of Swanville; Jannetta Jennings of Union; Bernadette deCesare, Valerie Greene, Jean Kigel, Robert Morello, Brooke Pacy and Joyce Steel of Waldoboro; and Paula Horton of Warren.

River Arts, located at 241 U.S. Route 1, is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit riverartsme.org.
