Two cars narrowly escaped a serious collision at the intersection of Route 1 and Northport Avenue on Thursday.
Belfast Police said at approximately 3 p.m. a black Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by Joseph Chadwick, was heading north when a silver Land Rover Discovery driven by Sandra Gregory, 77, of Belfast, turned left onto Route 1 from Northport Avenue and collided with Chadwick's vehicle.
Neither of the drivers involved was injured, although Belfast police said Gregory was "shaken up." Both cars had considerable front-end damage.
Belfast Fire Department and Ambulance responded to the call.
No charges are expected.
