Summer arrived early on the Midcoast this year, and despite a block of chilly days, beach- goers found Lincolnville Beach hot and sunny on numerous days in the past two weeks.
A new welcome sign to Lincolnville Beach features bright lettering on a blue background. The Lincolnville Improvement Association raised funds for the sign that is easily seen from a distance. The sign was made by carver Walt Simmons, and includes a life-like seagull sitting on top.
Rain or shine, the year-round and seasonal restaurants and shops are open for business, most within walking distance of the beach.
