Residents of Swanville celebrated the town’s 200th birthday, hosted by Marty Stout July 9 at Nickerson School.
In addition to a potluck dinner and dessert, people of all ages got to enjoy a raffle, a game of trivia, and listen to locals’ stories about the town.
A slideshow prepared by Selectmen Cindy Boguen and Jeanna Bonin showed photographs kept by the Belfast Historical Society of the town’s centennial celebrations, along with images of the town as it was and a history of the changes it has undergone.
