Children who would like to play youth travel football can show up at practices Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. behind Troy Howard Middle School.

The program begins soon, but children will be accepted through the end of August.

The divisions are for grades one and two, three and four and five and six. All levels are full-contact.

Brent Waterman said the program provides children all gear, except cleats.

The program plays in the Coastal Youth Football League, which includes Boothbay, Five Town (Camden-Rockport area), Central Lincoln County (Damariscotta area), Medomak (Waldoboro area) and Oceanside (Rockland area).

This will be the Belfast program's third year with third and fourth and fifth and sixth divisions, and second year with the first and second division.
