D.J. Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire raced to his second Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Model victory of the season Saturday, Aug. 11 in the Creative Counters 151 at Speedway 51.

Shaw, a two-time PASS North Super Late Model champion, remained atop the 2018 championship standings with the win, but little was added to his lead as he was followed under the checkered flag by Travis Benjamin of Belfast, currently second in the standings.

Currently, Shaw has amassed 2,589 points with two wins, nine top-five and 11 top-10 finishes, while Benjamin sits in second with 2,550 points with one win, seven top-five and 10 top-10 finishes.

Garrett Hall of Scarborough took a turn in front of the field, leading the race before Shaw took command and pulled away from the pack.  Hall hung on to post a third-place finish after Benjamin claimed the runner-up spot late.  Derek Ramstrom of Worcester, Mass. prevailed in an entertaining battle for fourth versus Derek Griffith of Hudson, N.H.

Defending PASS Mods champion Ben Tinker of New Gloucester also nailed down his fourth victory of the season to remain on top of the championship standings in the Pro All-Stars Series Northern open-wheel class.

The next Pro All Stars Series North event is the 45th Annual Clarks Scrap Metals Oxford 250, scheduled for Oxford Plains Speedway Sunday, August 26 at 1:30 p.m.
