With the start of the high school football season only a few days away, three local teams are set to mix it up on the gridiron in an exhibition format at Mount View High School — including the host Mustangs — Saturday, Aug. 25.

The Mustangs will host both Oceanside of Rockland and Camden Hills of Rockport in a three-way exhibition contest, which will feature all three teams playing a full game — one half each — against its other two opponents.

The event, which will begin at 1 p.m., will start with Mount View versus Oceanside, with Oceanside facing Camden Hills and then Camden Hills to end the day against Mount View.

Halves consist of two 12-minute quarters, with each “game” likely to take an hour to complete.

All three teams will begin the regular season on the road Friday, Aug. 31.

Mount View competes in Class D North and will begin the regular season at Foxcroft Academy; Oceanside, which competes in Class C North, begins against Mount Desert Island; and Camden Hills, which competes in Class E, begins against Sacopee Valley.
