The Belfast boys soccer team ran into a wall against Brewer to kick off the high school regular season on Thursday, Aug. 30 as the Lions fell to the visiting Witches 4-0.

Trey Baker pumped in a pair of first-half goals — both on penalty kicks — for the Witches, while Gavin Carr Ryan Averill added second-half scores and Braeden Swett one assist.

Brewer held a 17-11 advantage in shots and 7-4 edge in corner kicks.

Max Lewis made seven saves in goal for the Lions, while Matt Mousseau also made seven stops in net for the Witches.
