One of Waldo County’s fiercest high school athletic rivalry was renewed on Thursday, Sept. 6 as Belfast hit the road to face Mount View, with the squads in search of an early-season boost with a triumph over its neighbors from down or up the road.

And while Belfast is among the upper-echelon teams in Class B North and Mount View in Class C North, it was the Lions who brought their ‘A’ game on this day as they scored early and often in a 6-0 victory over the Mustangs.
