Local radio talk show “Finding Common Ground” will air interviews with Maine House District 98 candidates (representing the towns of Frankfort, Searsport, Swanville and Winterport) at noon Saturday, Sept. 22, on WBFY Belfast Community Radio, 100.9 FM, streaming live at

Democrat Scott Cuddy will be interviewed live from noon until 12:25 p.m., followed by a taped interview with his opponent, Republican Brian Kresge. The House seat is being vacated by Republican James Gillway of Searsport, who is termed out after four two-year sessions as House representative.

Scott Cuddy is a graduate of Hampden Academy and Wheaton College. He is an electrician by trade and lives in Winterport with his wife and sons. Scott sits on a number of nonprofit boards, including Food and Medicine and the Maine Center for Economic Policy.

Brian Kresge is an Army veteran, currently working as a computer programmer. He serves on the board of directors for Maine Multicultural Center in Bangor, dedicated to resourcing for immigrants to Maine, and lives in Winterport with his wife and daughters.
