Busline League middle school field hockey student-athletes have stuck to it in pursuit of victories this fall as games continue hot-and-heavy around the Midcoast.

The league includes teams from Troy Howard of Belfast, Oceanside of Thomaston, Boothbay Region, Camden-Rockport, Lincoln County and Nobleboro. Troy Howard and Camden-Rockport have two teams.

Squads play a 10-game regular-season schedule, then the prelim playoffs will check in on Thursday, Oct. 11 when the Nos. 3-6 and Nos. 4-5 teams square off. The semifinals will be on Tuesday, Oct. 16 and the championship on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. on the artificial surface at Point Lookout in Northport.

Troy Howard has captured many of the league titles in recent decades.

Oceanside 3, Boothbay 2

At Boothbay Sept. 27, the Mariners emerged with a one-goal win over the Wildcats. Boothbay led 2-1 at halftime.

Collette Black scored two goals and one assist for the visitors, while Maddie Ripley added one assist.

Oceanside 4, Camden-Rockport 0

At Northport Sept. 21, the Mariners swung past the Schooners via shutout. Oceanside led 1-0 at halftime.

Collette Black, Maddie Ripley, Winter Adams and Bailey Breen each scored for the Mariners.

Nobleboro 4, Camden-Rockport 1

On Sept. 20, the Lions roared past the Schooners.

Molly Shook scored the lone goal of the game for Camden-Rockport.

Troy Howard 5, Oceanside 2

At Belfast Sept. 18, the Lions prowled past the Mariners. Oceanside led 2-1 at halftime.

Collette Black and Maddie Ripley each scored for Oceanside.

Boothbay 4, Camden-Rockport 2

On Sept. 18, the Wildcats doubled up the Schooners.

Molly Shook and Katie Thorn each caged goals in the loss for Camden-Rockport.

At Rockland Sept. 10, the Mariners doubled up the Wildcats.
