Two games of the Major League Baseball American League Championship Series are in the books, and after the Red Sox fell to the Houston Astros in game one on Saturday night, Boston bounced back and won 7-5 on Sunday.

This past week the Courier Publications/VillageSoup sports poll asked readers how the Red Sox series with Houston would be decided, and the majority think Boston will win.

Twenty-nine percent of voters think the Red Sox will win the series in five games, while 24 percent think Boston will win in six games. Nineteen percent of people think the Red Sox will win in seven games with another 19 percent saying the Astros will win in six games. Five percent of voters think Boston will lose in five games, with another five percent stating the Red Sox will lose in seven games.

Not a single person thought either team would sweep the series, and, as we now know, that is true, since Boston and Houston have won a game.

This week, the sports staff debuts a new poll.

The National Basketball Association season starts this week and with it, we ask how the Celtics will finish the season.

Boston gets Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving back from injury, and returns most of its team from last season that lost in seven games in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The voter options in this week's poll include: Win The Finals — which is the NBA championship — lose in The Finals, lose in the Eastern Conference Finals, lose in the semifinals, lose in the quarterfinals or miss the playoffs.
