Tax bills are due by Oct. 31. I am open until 6pm that evening. We will be handing out candy to trick or treaters during our regular business hours on that day. The Fire House will be handing out candy and free smoke detectors from 5 p.m. and go until 7:30 p.m.

Final Fright at the Fort days for the season are Oct. 26 and 27 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets at the door are $10 per adult and $5 for children under 12. For more information:

Dog tags are now available. Dogs should be registered by Dec. 31. Please bring proof of rabies vaccination and a spay/neuter certificate if the dog is being registered for the first time. Fees start Feb. 1 for not registering on time and are $25 per dog plus the regular registration fee of $6 or $11 depending on if the animal is spayed or neutered.

We are still seeking an Appeals Board member. For more information or to be on the board, call 567-3661. We have a class coming up on Nov. 29 for new Appeals Board members, so if you are interested, please call us as soon as possible!

Election Day is Nov. 6. We are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. All absentee ballots are due back no later than 8 p.m. on this day. Voting will take place at the Firehouse/Town Office. Please enter in the front door of the office and you will be directed to the incoming ballot clerk. After voting you will exit through the side door of the Fire House.

We will be closed Nov. 7, the Wednesday after Election Day, so please plan accordingly.

Community Club is seeking donations for the Children’s Christmas Party. It is helpful for them to get the donations early so that they have plenty of time to wrap the gifts, and get a count of how many they have. Call Jennifer McVeigh, 567-3170, to donate.
