Hello All,

Here we go again as another week slides right on by. Wow, seems like time is just flying past. I cannot seem to get caught up with all I want and need to do. It is getting colder. Ole Man Winter waits for no one.

Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association

It was not mentioned at our meeting, but I believe the summer flowers, or such, anything you wish to keep, need to be removed from the cemetery lots immediately. Otherwise they will be disposed of. The flags will be removed on Veterans Day Nov. 11, or shortly thereafter. Some folks wish to see them there until Veterans Day. Thanks! Next spring we will have our Annual Appeal newsletters sent out, the Chicken Barbecue, Quilt Raffle, and Silent Auction. Thanks for the support!

Wedding

Congratulations to Daimen Ingraham and Sarah Marie Anderson on their wedding Oct. 20. Congrats to the family, as well. I hope you have many happy years together.

Cards for little Enoch

For anyone wishing to send a card to the little boy injured on I-95 recently, I enclose his address. He is 2 years old. A truck convoy will soon pass by the hospital for his benefit. His address is Northern Light EMMC, 489 State St., Bangor, Me. 04401 c/o Enoch Mc Govern. The trucker is being remembered as well, although he has stated, from what I read, that all donations will go to Enoch and family.

Get well

A speedy get well to little Chance Cunningham, who is in the hospital at this writing. He is having treatments for his rare health issues.

Dog at large

It is sad when people let their dogs run at large and not bother to worry about someone passing by and being bit. That is the reason I cannot walk on this road, as you never know when a dog will run after you. It is very sad. The Animal Control needs to be called. No second or third chances for this to happen.

Scam calls

I cannot stress enough the phone calls trying to relieve you of your hard-earned money. Beware it is happening. More than people know. Do not fall for it. Tell our elderly.

Freedom Boosters and Rec. Committee

On Sunday, Oct. 28, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Freedom Town Hall, Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat in the Town Office parking lot. Free event for the children. Bounce house, games, bags of treats, pictures with the wooden witch, Kitty Kat best costume prize, and refreshments will be served. First 50 kids will have a pumpkin they can decorate. Info 382-6177.

Flood, and damage from the hurricane

Friends have taken supplies to several places in Florida that had a lot of damage recently. Thanks to those helping out.

Daylight Saving Time

This ends on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Belated birthday

A happy belated birthday to Warren Belgard on his 92nd birthday. He is with his daughter Lynn.

Halloween

A happy Trick or Treat Halloween to all Oct. 31! The ghosts, goblins and witches will be out.

Until next week,

Hunting for youth started on Saturday. Several tagged out nearby at Freedom General Store. They have breakfast sandwiches, and goodies all ready to go for the hunters. Hunting will be on Saturday, the 27th, first day for all. Some folks have been moose hunting. I see the wood piles are getting taken care of. Get all the things put away before the snow flies. We actually had a light dusting of snow the other morning when I got up. Take care, and be safe.
