This is a warning to all electric blanket users. Please be very diligent in checking the cord and plug on your electric blanket. I thought I was being very careful in checking Dustin's electric blanket, but evidently I did not do a very good job.

One night this week, as Dustin was getting into bed, as the covers were tossed back, flames erupted. It was a minor fire because two of us were standing right there, but I do not think George could have moved any faster.

The result was the plug had burned off from the rest of the cord and burned holes in the sheet and singed the blanket and comforter. It must have started burning as soon as the blanket was turned on. I have not turned my electric blanket on since. So, please be careful.
