Several Midcoast schools have their big fall theatricals scheduled for Friday night, Nov. 16, but the season’s first winter storm canceled school in some districts. However, all the performances are "a go."

The call came late for Searsport District High/Middle School’s “Shrek The Musical,” which joins Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro’s “Shrek” (yes, it’s a two-fer year), Oceanside High School’s “Disney’s The Little Mermaid” and Vinalhaven High School’s “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” in presenting a 7 p.m. performance.

Or maybe not

In the non-school lineup, Friday night’s one-man show “Standing By, Standing Up” by Tim Collins at The Playhouse in Belfast has been postponed to Saturday, Nov. 17, at 5:30 p.m.
