John "Jack" Anthony DiTullio, of Ocala, Fla., passed away in the company of his family on Oct. 29, 2018, after a battle with cancer. He was 77.

He is survived by his three siblings (Tom, Paul and Susan DiTullio), five children (Andrew, Mark, Matthew, Amy, and Megan), eight grandchildren (Katie, Jay, Alex, Jacob, Barianne, Benjamin, Juliet, and Neko), and one great-grandchild (Elena). His wife of 52 years, Carol, passed away in August.

John was born in Quincy, Mass., on May 26, 1941, to Constantino and Clara DiTullio. He married in 1966 and resided in Massachusetts for the first half of his life; moving to Belfast for the second half. Jack and his wife became snowbirds upon retirement and moved full-time to Ocala, Fla., a few years ago.

Jack spent his working life as a merchant marine, supporting his wife and five children.

Jack will be remembered for his devotion and loyalty to family and friends, his love of food, life, and laughter, and his willingness to help anyone in need. His family deeply mourns his loss, but retains solace in knowing he is now at peace with his wife.

A memorial will be held in Florida on Saturday, Dec. 29, at The National Cemetery in Bushnell. His family also hopes to have a gathering in Belfast next summer.
