Roberta Francis Fox, a resident of Franklin, N.H., and formerly of Augusta, passed away Nov. 12, 2018, at Merrimack County Nursing Home at the age of 82.

Roberta was born Roberta Francis Cook to George Parker Cook and Ruth Herrick Cook in Belfast. She had one brother and one sister.

Roberta married the love of her life, Harry Earla Fox, in 1983. They lived in love and happiness until his passing in 1998.

Roberta was very proud to be an adult graduate of Belfast High School.

Roberta worked at many local factories in Belfast and later in life attained a CNA certification. She was proud to have worked at Augusta Rehab until retirement.

During the nine years Roberta spent living at Kennebec Plaza she was a vibrant part of the Plaza community and loved her friends and home there. Roberta also became a proud member of Eastern Star, Queen Ester Chapter, during her residency at the Plaza.

Roberta was known for her generosity, great sense of humor, kindness and tenacity for life. She loved babies and Christmas. It delighted her to have so many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved baseball, basketball, and football. She was a huge fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. Roberta loved to play cribbage, cards and dice. During the past year Roberta took great joy in her nightly card game with “the Boys” at Merrimack County Nursing Home.

Roberta will be sadly missed by her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Roberta was predeceased by her husband, father, mother, brother, sister, three of her seven children and four of her grandchildren.
