Marie Hills Clark, 95, died Dec. 4, 2018, at her home in Belmont. Born in Belfast on July 18, 1923, she was a daughter of Herbert and Mildred Hills. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and composing poetry and short stories. As an active church member, she served as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher, and Pioneer Girls scout leader.

She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Priscilla and Andrew Terwilleger of Kentucky, Carolyn and Edmond Day of New York, Virginia and Richard Nichols of Connecticut, Cynthia and Jim Shields of Pennsylvania, Rebecca and Rich Surdam of Connecticut, and Catherine and Jeff Burcham of Virginia; her son Daniel Clark of Florida; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her siblings Glen Hills, Basil Hills, Carl and wife Barbara Hills, and Ann Bucklin.

She was preceded in death by her husband Milton, infant daughter Julia, and granddaughter Lynn Nardiello.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Morrill Baptist Church. Interment will be held in the spring at Grove Cemetery, Belfast.
