It is possible to keep the same plate number for an additional fee of $15. The excise tax would be paid at the Town Office, and the registration would have to be completed at a branch office, just like a new vanity plate.

The Secretary of State’s Office has recently determined that the Libertarian Party has been disqualified as a party in Maine due to insufficient numbers of enrolled party members. All those who were enrolled in the Libertarian Party have been changed to unenrolled status.

We have recently learned that the Libertarians have filed to regain their official party status. To do so they must enroll 5,000 members by January 2020. If you wish to enroll or re-enroll with the Libertarian Party, visit the Town Office and complete a new voter registration card.
