It is with great sadness that I announce the death on Jan. 14, 2019, in Tucson, Arizona, of my dear wife of 62 years, Connie Leslie. But it is with great relief that her pain and suffering have finally ended.

Connie and I lived most of our lives in Cheshire, Connecticut, and Belfast. She was a real Mainer, having been born in Lewiston April 29, 1935. Her late parents were Kenneth and Hazel Doe.

She leaves three sons, Mike, David and John, and their wives, Nataliya, Gigi and Mary, and eight grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Tory, Jessica, Julia, Cassie, Darya and Kristina. She also leaves her dear older sister, Jeanne, and her very favorite niece, Krista, who both live in New Hampshire.

Connie’s life was full of many caring activities for other people. She endured several health issues that never slowed her down until her final illness. She had an immense faith in God and her church and her many close friends.

Connie was very appreciative of the caring and thoughtfulness of friends and neighbors in Tucson and Maine. She was especially close to Jan Webster and her wonderful friend and “sister,” Pat Schultz, both of Tucson.

A memorial service will be held in Tucson Jan. 27, and a service is planned in Belfast in June or July.

If people wish to contribute in her memory, contributions would be very welcome and well used by PEO Sisterhood, Chapter C, c/o Susan Mayer, 568 Bluff Road, Northport, ME 04849. — Her husband Gil Leslie
