Searsmont Town Library is bubbling with pre-spring special events, activities, and programs for all ages!

Bill Berlinghoff, a thoughtful and entertaining Maine-based folk singer, will be giving an intimate family-friendly concert in the library on Friday, March 15, at 7 p.m. Bill has been performing on banjo and guitar for over 50 years and is lauded as a good storyteller. Bill Evans is the first presenter in our "Local Knowledge, Community Wisdom" series. He will talk about his passion and adventures in 40 years of furniture making and restoration on Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m. Join us and learn a little about the fine craftsmanship of one of our neighbors.

Two new weekly programs upcoming at the library:

The Muppet Show (Saturdays at 10 a.m. beginning March 9) — one episode from the original Muppet Show (1976) will be followed by creative play (puppets, storytelling, songs). Suggested for ages 5 and up. An adult should accompany children under the age of 12.

Big Screen, Small Library (Tuesday matinees at 2 p.m. starting March 12) — all kinds of movies, films and documentaries shown weekly.

Additionally, the Book Club will meet to discuss Barbara Ross's "Iced Under" on Thursday, March 14, at 6 p.m.
