Ann E. Hussey went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2019. She was born in Belfast on Dec. 28, 1933, the third child of Lester and Katie (Trull) Allenwood. Ann graduated from Crosby High School in 1952 and was valedictorian of her class. Growing up, Ann loved to ice skate and roller skate. She loved to play Connect Four with her grandchildren and liked to do crossword puzzles and Sudoku. Ann was a good seamstress, which she passed on to her daughters. She made Easter dresses, school clothes, and doll clothes for her children and granddaughter. Ann worked for many years at Sampson’s Supermarket, and Ames Department Store. Ann loved her church, Little River Baptist Church in Belfast.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, Lester and Katie (Trull) Allenwood; husband, Richard Hussey; and brother, Jackson Allenwood.

Ann is survived by her daughters, Joan Herrick (Charles) of Northport, and Kathy Quinn (Jerry) of Belfast; sisters Brenda Miller and June Herrick, both of Camden; grandchildren, Seth Howard (Diane) and Noelle Kennedy (Courtney); great-grandchildren, Andrew Ryder, Ian Howard and Jenna Howard; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Ann’s life will be held May 18 at 2 p.m. at the Lions Club in Camden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Good Shepherd Food Bank, P.O. Box 1807, Auburn, ME 04211-1807.
