Freedom’s Festivities for Easter

Once again this year, the Freedom Rec. Committee is planning an Easter Festivity to be held on April 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Town Office and Election Hall. This event, as all the events, is free. It is a time for the children to look forward to a good time of fun and games, crafts, raffles, drawings for a boy, girl and baby Easter basket and a free drawing for a new bike with training wheels. Also refreshments, free pictures with Peter Rabbit and presenting "Mr. Drew With His Animals Too"! This is a community event.

Selectmen’s meeting

The Board of Selectmen will meet on Monday, March 31, at the Town Office starting at 6 p.m. The meetings are open to the public. By attending these meetings, you will hear and understand just what is going on in our community. Look forward to seeing you there.

Voice of Freedom

Happy birthday to Clint and Christopher Spaulding who will celebrate their birthday with their family. I would say, by the size of their family, they will have a big party! Wishing you both many more years of “Happy Birthdays.”

At our last selectmen’s meeting, a group of about 18 residents showed up to express their concerns to the board. It would be nice if each week there would be some attending the meeting so they can share their concerns and learn more about how the town is being run.

Now that winter is over and spring has sprung, it will feel more like spring when the mud dries up and the snow disappears. It sure was a roller-coaster winter.

The selectmen meet every Monday at 6 p.m.

The Town Office hours are Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 2 p. m., and from 8 a.m. till noon on the first Saturday of the month.

Not much going on now, so until next week, stay warm, stay safe, be kind to your neighbor and God bless.
