Hello All,

It is spring, but gee, it is still cold out there. I guess I am getting old, as I hate the cold. I even hated to see more snow coming down when I went to bed last night. I guess I will have to wait longer, before it gets warming up. Trying to hurry the warmth is sure not working here in my neighborhood. It sounded good for a few minutes though.

This weekend now, is Maple Syrup Sunday, and many places serve people Saturday and Sunday. It sure tastes good though, that fresh syrup. They have many other products. Maple candies, yum.

Belated birthday

A very happy 95th birthday to Pearl Nickless! She was given a surprise party on Sunday at Freedom Congregational Church. I hope you have many more.

Wildlife

Looking out my back door, I have had a lonely tom turkey seeing what he can find to eat. There has been a fox, and a big fat skunk. I could do without the skunk! A pair of cardinals both landed, eating seeds and cracked corn. It sure is fun to see what stops on by.

Bicentennial celebration

For our town of Knox, in July, we are looking for your old pictures, any old history, and info you can find to share with us. Hopefully people will dress in the period clothing, as there will be a short parade. There will be a Chicken Barbecue and games for the kids. So much more to plan. A horse show at the rink. Craft Fair tent.

Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association

The spring meeting of the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association is being planned for Tuesday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Freedom Town Office. Representatives of lot holders are invited to attend.

Until next week,

I am late as usual to post this. I decided to bake, banana bread and biscuits, yum. I love peanut butter on my hot biscuits, and at times molasses with a biscuit. Got that from my folks, and Gram Stewart I guess. Even tried my hand at sausage gravy for the biscuits, and it was yummy.

I hope you are staying warm, and not sick. I have been told the Infleunza A and B are still around, all kinds of ailments, stomach issues, colds, whooping cough, and more. I am getting over my bronchitis I had.

Get well to all who are sick. Happy birthday if you celebrated your day. Take care all.
